Corrections

We make mistakes. When we do, we want to know and we want to fix them in the open.

Report an error

Email info@theaiaddictioncenter.com with:

You do not have to give your name. If you are a person or company named on the site and think something about you is wrong, say so and we will look first at that. You can also write to us at 175 Commerce Dr, Hauppauge, NY 11788, or call +1 (914) 893-2821.

What happens next

  1. We reply within 3 business days to say we have it.
  2. We check the claim against the original sources.
  3. If you are right, we fix the page. If a fact was wrong in a way that matters (a number, a name, a medical or safety statement, or what a study found), we add a note to the page and an entry to the log below.
  4. If we think the page is right, we tell you why and which source we relied on. If you give us a better source, we look again.
  5. We keep the original report and our notes privately.

Small fixes that change no meaning (spelling, broken links, formatting) are made without a log entry.

What we will not do

We will not remove accurate, sourced information because someone would prefer it was not there. We will not change a page quietly when a fact was wrong.

Safety problems

If you think a page contains something that could put someone at risk, say so in the subject line (“Safety”). We will look at it first. If you are in crisis, do not email us. Call or text 988, text HOME to 741741, or call SAMHSA at 1-800-662-4357.

No corrections have been logged since this page was created. Each correction we make will be added here with its date, the page, what was wrong and what is now correct.

Frequently asked questions

How do I report a mistake?

Email info@theaiaddictioncenter.com with the page address, what is wrong and, if you can, a link to the right information. You do not need to give your name.

How long will it take?

We reply within 3 business days. Fixing a confirmed error usually follows within a week.

What if I disagree with your correction?

Tell us and say why. If you can show a source that supports your view, we will look again. We do not change a page because someone asks us to remove accurate information.
